I'm not sure I would stay here otherwise. The park's North Entrance east of Nashville has a historic Covered Bridge with a 9' height clearance and 3 ton weight limits and over-size vehicles are prohibited and cannot enter here. Overall, we are very impressed with this park and will definitely come back - even though we have a 44 foot 5th wheel and most of the campsites will not accommodate us. Quiet hours are from 11 pm to 7 am. The leaves where past their prime but with the temps in the 80's and sunny the remaining leaves showed us their beauty. We had a lovely campsite under the trees with a short walk to the bathhouse which was clean though simple. The sites are fairly close together, so it could be noisy if it were busy, I suspect.
Our favorite trails were 7 and 9. Dump station and port-a-potties nearby in park. There are various campsites throughout Brown County State Park. We went horseback riding one day in the park and that was something fun to do. Edinburgh had many neglected buildings. This was definitely not our type of park, and will not return. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

We used this park as a place to hibernate for a couple days en route to Mor Ryde in Elkhart on Labor Day weekend, and arrived Thursday afternoon. Passes near Lower Shelter and North Lookout Tower. Not much of anything is nearby; mostly a depressed area in a very old neighborhood. It is a 10 day event in June with over 75 bands, music and instrument workshops, a bluegrass camp for kids and a whole lot more! Water got warm enough to shower! Though there are no mountains in this area, Brown County does consist of rolling hills, scenic pull-offs, and nature trails. Indiana's largest park is a traditional fall color hot spot, with nearly 20 miles of tree-lined roads and many scenic vistas overlooking miles of uninterrupted forestland. We watched a couple people on Friday get escorted to their site, only to pull out and go to another, more level site. One important note: Enter the park at the West Gate.
